Here at Contemporary Media, we like to think we know a thing or two about food. Happily, the editors at the national blog eater.com think so too. They asked Hungry Memphis editor Susan Ellis (who also doubles as the managing editor of the Flyer) to compile a list of hot spots in Memphis for an Eater Heat Map. The only criteria were that her picks be "relatively new" and, of course, hot.
While the map didn't include all of Ellis' suggestions, it did highlight many of her favorites. (Hint: Her picks include refreshing Mexican treats, low-country cuisine, and a highly anticipated new restaurant with a one-word name in East Memphis.)
