More than 300 supporters of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and a dozen of the ciy's leading chefs gathered November 17, 2013, near the hospital's colorufl vegetable gardens for the St. Jude Garden Harvest "100 Mile Dinner."
The event included live and silent auctions, entertainment by Grassfire, and a testimonial by former patient Courtney Newman Gunter.
Miles McMath, the hospital's director of culinatry operations, coordinated the kitchen, where chefs used farm-fresh ingredients to prepare a five-course meal that featured smoked fish tamales, Vindaloo spiced top sirloin, and sweet potato and pecan pies, fried, of course.
