Christopher's Restaurant in Millington, which had been a fine dining restaurant, has changed gears. It's now serving a casual menu, and features Monday night football specials. In other fine dining news, John Bragg has left River Oaks restaurant in East Memphis.
Memphis Pizza Café continues its expansion, with two new pizza cafes. The first is at 5627 Getwell in Southaven, while the second is opening at Poplar and Byhalia in Collierville. This brings the total number of pizza café locations to six.
Also in Collierville, the area's second Firebirds restaurant recently opened as part of The Avenue Carriage Crossing shopping center (the first is in Cordova). As for other chains, Crescent City Beignets, a purveyor of New Orleans cuisine, has opened four locations -- in Collierville, Southaven, Cordova, and Ridgeway Road. A fifth is in the works for downtown.
