On September 19, 2011, as part of its free Summer Concert Series, the Levitt Shell hosted the Jim Dickinson Memorial Folk Festival. This tribute honoring the late musician and producer featured performances by the North Mississippi Allstars (two members being Dickinson's sons Cody and Luther), Jimbo Mathus & The Tri-State Coalition, Lucero, Sons of Mudboy, and many others.
