Eugene Pidgeon
Eugene Pidgeon is a native Memphian who has returned after 21 years. An award-winning writer, actor, and activist, Pidgeon spent the last three years in Los Angeles, helping expand film and television opportunities for short-statured performers. In Memphis, Pidgeon is now a volunteer project advisor for the "Door of Hope Foundation," working to eliminate potters' fields. He is also a media-relations advisor to the HEAL Foundation Press, founded by Stephan McLaughlin Jr., the author of Seeking Self. This month's IntroSpective, "Made in the Image of God?" is Pidgeon's first contribution to Memphis magazine.
Chris Davis
Chris Davis is an award-winning writer, actor, and director who has lived in Memphis since 1985. He's worked as a stringer for Details , and his writing has appeared in Maxim, Outdoors , and Stage Directions . He is a staff writer for the Memphis Flyer , the proud papa of twin girls, and can occasionally be seen singing country-western classics with his band, Papa Top's West Coast Turnaround.
Drew Ermenc
Drew Ermenc grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville, and followed his future wife to Memphis after earning his masters in journalism from the University of Mississippi. He served as the editor of Memphis Business Quarterly , a sister publication to Memphis, as well as a number of local annual publications including Meet Memphis, Germantown, and Collierville . Sadly, this month's issue marks the last we'll see of his byline for a while, as he and his family are moving to Atlanta. He will be missed more than he knows.
Tom Martin
An award-winning designer and illustrator, Tom Martin is enjoying his second successful year running both tommartindesign.com and tommartinillustration.com. Staying busy with new jobs for Urban Outfitters, Elvis Presley Enterprises, and other great clients, Tom barely finds time to play with his not-so-serious band and potentially too-serious men's soccer team.
Jonathan Postal
Jonathan Postal received a BFA in photography at the San Francisco Art Institute. Postal has lived and worked in New York, Milan, London, Sydney, and New Orleans. He has worked for Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Guitar World, The New York Times, Interview, Vogue Vanity, Tattler, Face, Timeout , Max Factor, and CBS Records. He most recently worked for the Miami New Times , but is now back home in Memphis, where he is almost never seen without his trusty camera.
