Our very own fashion editor, Augusta Campbell, has been recognized as one of southernliving.com’s 50 Best-Dressed Southerners. The list, which was published last week, features designers, musicians, artists, attorneys, and other fashionable folks in the South.
Campbell says she heard news of her inclusion during last week’s mess of ice and snow and was wearing sweats and several layers of not-so-fashionable clothing to bear the cold, so the recognition was a wonderful but dubious honor. “Otherwise, I love clothes, and I really feel like getting dressed is just another form of personal expression,” she says. “I shop local as much as possible, and I find some of my favorite threads at estate sales and thrift stores and mix those goodies up with sharply tailored pieces for unique looks.”
Campbell has worked as a stylist since 2005, starting at Midsouth magazine. She’s been doing monthly print photo shoots ever since.
Here’s Augusta and crew behind the scenes of a recent Memphis swimsuit fashion shoot at the Tennessee Brewery.
