The River Series is in full swing at the Harbor Town Amphitheater, with Nots and Chickasaw Mound kicking off the three-show series late last month. This weekend, the original lineup of Reigning Sound will take the Harbor Town stage, performing songs from the band’s first four LPs, early singles and EPs.
Having been a project of Oblivians member Greg Cartwright for the past 15 years, the band has changed lineups several times, and this will be the first time Reigning Sound has played together with this lineup since 2010. The original lineup of Reigning Sound includes Greg Roberson (Trashy Creatures Records), Jeremy Scott (Burning Sands), and Alex Greene. For anyone who has followed the bands impressive trajectory, this lineup was responsible for creating some of the most memorable songs in the Reigning Sound discography, including “You’re not as Pretty,” “Time Bomb High School,” and “Straight Shooter.”
The River Series at the Harbor Town Amphitheater is a series of public shows at the amphitheater on the campus of the Maria Montessori School. It functions as a fundraiser for the school, and a $5 donation is suggested for each show. Doors are at 6 p.m. and Robby Grant opens the show. All ages are welcome.
