The country’s top minds in cybersecurity will convene Friday at the University of Memphis (U of M) for a cyber summit.
Experts in the field from the top companies and government agencies in America will gather at the FedEx Institute of Technology auditorium for Cyber Summit 2016: New Cyber Threats and Counterintelligence.
Speakers for the all-day event include officials from FedEx, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the National Cyber Security Alliance, the United States Secret Service, the city of Memphis, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Tennessee Department of Transportation, International Paper, the U of M, and more.
A panel will discuss data breaches, cybercrime, attacks on digital infrastructure, identity theft, and stolen intellectual property. Another panel will discuss bringing cybersecurity to the Internet of Things (think automated devices for homes and offices, like digital thermostats).
