My gal, Necha, with her Grammy nominated husband, Luther Dickinson and his brother, Cody, at this year's event.
I styled my friend, Necha Dickinson, for her second trip to the Grammys in support of her nominated husband, Luther. Necha's dress is a long chiffon Theyskens' Theory that reminded me instantly of our derivitive influence-Ossie Clark. Original "Ossies" are the epitome of effortless glam of the 70's and were poplular with British rockers and their girlfriends. The patent leather bow blet is perfect and we had lots of fun working with Jinger at Jospeh with these items. Necha's necklace is a multi layer moonstone piece by Mary Seay Taylor of Brave Design and it glowed on her. The sexy pewter sandals are her own and her clutch was loaned by her bestie, Juli Hurdle. Luther and Cody look great too, but this is all about Necha. Juli said it best when she posted on Facebook that dressing her friend for the Grammys was like getting a gypsy ready for her wedding.
Brave Design will make another awards ceremony appearance-this time at the officially sanctioned Oscar Party here in Memphis. Contemporary Media's Penelope Baer will be donning something painfully awesome from their new spring line.
I want everything.
This group is made by Brave Design co creator, Mimi Donasky and the photo credit goes to her. I won't blow the big reveal, but Penelope is going to be soaked in Brave Design all weekend.
Another fun project on deck is working with new recording artists and helping them refine their style. I recently worked with urban group PBZ and now I 'm having a turn with solo artist, Korey Rusch. His voice is enormous, his swagger is tight, and he's easy on the eyes-dream client.
No doubt you'll be hearing him and seeing him very, very, soon. Here's a peek of one of the garment racks full of goodies for his photo shoot, styled by moi. Korey loves clothes so this should be illegally fun.
And I can't believe this is my day job.
