Ethnic trends abound for 2012, and earlier this year, we showed African-inspired looks. For July, we chose to shoot at C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa, Memphis’ own Native-American treasure, an archaeological site dating back to pre-Columbian times. The very name Chucalissa translates to “abandoned dwelling” and it is the perfect setting for showcasing fashion inspired by our ancient forefathers. Think of bright colors, a mix of authentic patterns, jewelry, and accessories that are colorful yet sophisticated. This vibe is perfect for our heat-drenched summer.
