The Second Annual Innovation Awards, presented by MBQ: Inside Memphis Business and the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics, were awarded at a breakfast reception on September 24th. Honored that day were the Computational Biology Team (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital), Dr. Maria Gomes-Solecki (University of Tennessee Health Science Center), the Maximyze Development Team (Buckman), and Kevin Dean (Literacy Mid-South). Speakers included Will Chase, president of Diamond sponsor Triumph Bank; Dr. Rajiv Grover, dean of the Fogelman College; and Ken Neill, publisher of Contemporary Media Inc. The program’s host was Jeremy Parks of Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club.
