My new obsession-denim blouse.
FINALLY! Temps are low enough to wear the Fall clothes I've been hoarding and obsessing over...here are just a few pieces I've amassed so far and will mix into my current wardrobe. This is no way a final list as I'm always falling in love with new goodies everywhere I go. My denim tunic blouse from Nordstrom's in Nashville is going to be worn with all kind of leggings tucked into boots AND with jeans. To keep that look as fresh as the crisp air my jeans are going to be slightly different shade of blue, cropped, and worn with pumps or...
...remember these?
Delish Pedro Garcia suede ankle sandals from Joseph in Laurelwood. Totally perfect with tights even tho they are peep toe. I love them and they are a nice alternative to boots. The color rocks too and they're comfy. They are completely modern and a little unexpected.
Scarves, scarves, scarves...you can never have enough and get them in all different colors, sizes, wieghts to work with our finicky weather. This one has served me well and I'm going to continue to throw it on in the Fall. I especially love the soft black/lavendar combo. This one is from Delta Groove Yoga Studio in Overton Square and I nabbed it over a Kriya Yoga meditation workshop...namaste.
A blazer is a must and this two toned one is trendy enough but classic enough. I've worn it over tshirts and jeans and thrown over long and flowy maxi dresses with boots. It's cozy but tailored and a great alternative to a bulky sweater or jacket. I'm also going to switch out the buttons as soon as I find the perfect ones. This one's from the 40% off room at JCrew. YES!
My new (to me) vintage Fall boots...the color is divine and I wear them whenever I don't want to wear black boots. They are soft, supple, lightweight and perfect in every way. I've worn them with socks for a bare leg look with a shorter pencil skirt and long sleeved tshirt, with tights and cut off denim shorts with sweaters, and with my favorite long skirts and dresses with my denim blouse. These came from olio:a vintage collection and were mine upon arrival.
Fall, Fall, Fall...yes, yes, yes...more, more, more! This is just my beginner's list and as the season goes on I'll surely crave more.
