On Monday, January 20, 2014, winners of the National Civil Rights Museum’s Sports Legacy Awards, NBA legends Bernard King, JoJo White, and Dikembe Mutombo, shared the podium as well as their remarkable personal histories at a symposium at FedExForum presented by the Hyde Family Foundations. These distinguished sports icons later in the afternoon received their awards at a ceremony preceding the Grizzlies vs. the Pelicans game, at which Charley Pride was the halftime entertainer.
