In conjunction with the annual June Culture issue, Memphis magazine hosted our inaugural A Summons to Memphis luncheon on Thursday, May 30th in the Continental Ballroom of the Peabody Hotel.
While attendees enjoyed a delicious New Orleans-themed lunch from the Peabody, special guest speaker New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu captivated the crowd with a discussion on the importance of capitalizing on a city's culture for positively shaping the urban socioeconomic environment.
Special thanks to Mayor Mitch Landrieu and staff, the Peabody Hotel, the New Orleans CVB, Holliday Flowers, and our sponsors at the Henry Turley Company, Archer Records, Belz Enterprises, Downtown Memphis Commission, ArtsMemphis, New Memphis Institute, Baptist Memorial Health Care, CBRE Memphis, First Tennessee Bank, Laurelwood Shopping Center, and Hyde Family Foundation.
