from Trask
A stylish shopper checks out the Trask shoe.
TRASK shoes and boots were on display at Oak Hall last Saturday as part of a store wide event that highlighted Southern lifestyle at its best. This American made compnay has some of the best rugged yet refined shoes and boots for the lucky guy on your holiday gift list. They are all carefully crafted of leather and have classic styles and details that get better with age. My favorite is the black and brown Garland (looks like a Saddle Oxford and is 3rd from the L) that I would dress my hubby in with a fitted brown suit, no tie but pastel pocket square or go back with relaxed denim and cozy cardigan with a button down, top button undone. Yummy!
Prichard's Bourbon was on hand for sampling as was Hog & Hominy and Wiseacre Brewery. Also thrown into the mix was the mega Barbour Re-Waxing event and Trish McEvoy make up event plus an ice storm. Regardless of the roads, Memphians came out in a big way to support the event and more than a few gents left wearing better shoes that day. My husband drooled over several pairs including (but not limited to) the Glacier boot which is a bit like lumberjack chic and the easy pull on Garnet boots. Check out www.trask.com for more choices and cruise through the womens selection too-my favorites are the embossed leather Piper flats which I would wear with a boxy sweater, tights and tweed shorts, the greyish blue ankle boot Laurels with my leggings or cropped and skinny denim and long cardigan, and the frontier woman fierce Jordan tall boots with fringe paired with a maxi dress or turtleneck and denim pencil skirt. But for now, focus on your man and get him some Trask shoes or boots for Christmas.
