har·bin·ger
[hahr-bin-jer], noun
anything that foreshadows a future event; omen; sign.
This fancy word can seamlessly be applied to fashion in Memphis as pre-Fall clothing trickles into inventory stock rooms but doesn’t quite make it onto the sales floor until chilly air blows in. So, we all know Fall is coming, but it’s still really hot. This is the perfect time to mix a little warm weather dressing with cool temperature looks as the mercury dips and rises. It’s always fun to wear something unexpected and now is the ideal time to experiment with the apparel of these seasons. For this photo shoot, we were welcomed into the private home of Barry Yoakum of Archimania in Harbor Town and its modern setting balanced out the unconventional looks just right.
