1. Audubon Park 4145 Southern Avenue
A groundbreaking earlier this month made way for a new fitness zone at Audubon Park. Once completed, the fitness station will be one of the best places to work out, coming equipped with elliptical machines and other devices to get more people moving. Its location is great for those in Midtown, and many who already hang out nearby to skateboard in Tobey Park or participate in Tiger Lane tailgating will be happy about the extra recreation opportunity.
2. Tom Lee Park Riverside Drive
Thanks to the Grizzlies, there’s an outdoor fitness area dedicated to working out with one of the best views in town. You can’t go wrong working out on the RiverFit trail, complete with a range of exercise opportunities and group activities like volleyball. After a break due to the Memphis in May festivities, the RiverFit equipment is back in action.
3. Sea Isle Park 5220 Sea Isle
This one flies under the radar. It’s in East Memphis, so it’s perfect for those folks who enjoy a little peace and quiet. With it being situated right next to a senior center, there’s not much distraction here, and it rarely gets super busy. Park-goers can freely work out on the body weight systems with little to no interference, and the short trail helps keep you motivated with easy laps.
