A special Polar Express train left Batesville, Mississippi, Sunday afternoon, taking pajama-clad children and their parents on a special ride. Santa and his elves got aboard the train during the hour-long trip, and passengers listened to a recording of the Polar Express book, read by the author.
The train is run by the Iowa Pacific, which recently took over the ex-Illinois Central line between Memphis and Jackson. The train runs various times through December 27th. For more info and a list of departure dates and times, visit grenadapolarexpressride.com.
