
Orrin, a native Memphian is a former chief information officer with LeMoyne-Owen College, a founding board member of Hattiloo Theatre, and a member of the Memphis Urban League Young Professionals. He graduated from the Leadership Academy Fellows Program, received the Top 40 Under 40 Award from the Memphis Business Journal, and was a member of the 2007 class of Leadership Memphis. He founded Linx Consulting, and serves as chair of the Board for Freedom Preparatory Academy.
Stand for Children Tennesse, a not-for-profit education advocacy group that works with parents and teachers, has a longtime presence in the Memphis and Nashville communities. In Memphis, Stand members have provided grassroots support for education funding, Pre-K programs, and candidates who support improvements in the public school system. The non-profit also conducts parent engagement workshops that connect parents with teachers and principals to boost the learning potential of children in the school and create an improved learning environment at home.
